I managed to keep it functioning for a couple more months after my first disastrous visit to the Verizon store. I was really intimidated by their sales staff that day and did not want to go back. Kind of like not wanting to go to the dentist.
So, my cell phone finally died and went to cell phone heaven. It had a good, long life. And, I really loved that phone. Now, it's gone.

In this video, I interview photographer Nancy Roux. Now, she says she was a shy artist, but she certainly sounds like she has overcome that. She makes a good point about telling the story and about having a story for each piece of artwork that you have.
This next video in my artist interview series is now posted both on the video page of this website and on The Shy Artist YouTube channel. A couple of weeks ago, I related the story of the customer who demanded that I finish some art I was working on so she could buy it. She came back after I finished the pieces, but acted like she didn't even know me. Needless to say, I did not make a sale.
Fast forward to a couple of days ago... I was working in my booth creating artwork. I left some unfinished pieces on my counter while I sat nearby to eat my lunch. I watched while a woman started pawing through my stack of works-in-progress. Now, I'm used to seeing this and it no longer bothers me. This particular customer was spending a lot of time looking so I decided to get up and talk to her.
My cell phone isn't working very well anymore. OK, I've had it for about 8 years, so I have gotten some good value out of it. (Yes, I know, I am way behind the times with this technology.) So, being clueless about what is available, and even more clueless about what I want, I went to my local Verizon store...
